Rose-infused Vodka
In honor of the Rose I offer you (for those who imbibe alcohol) one of the easiest methods for tasting this flower.
  1. Prepare a clean jar with a tight fitting lid (such as a mason jar)
  2. Separate the petals of the rose and put them in the jar
  3. Cover to almost the top with vodka
  4. Seal tightly, place on a dark shelf and wait about a week (or longer)
  5. After a week or more, pour off the Rose infused vodka through a sieve into a clean bottle or jar.
  6. Prepare a martini or cocktail glass with ice, pour a few ounces of the elixir, add a few drops of lemon juice and a twist (helps to brighten the color) and enjoy.
